Early Renaissance epoch is one of the most marvelous and amazing history periods. The beginning of art and culture influenced the fashion of the period greatly.
This dress of the early Renaissance combines naivete and elegance of the silhouette with the complexity and richness of trimming and details.
This dress typical for the second half of the fifteenth century which was known as "gamurra" and referred to as the so called Florentine fashion period. Dresses were usually worn over the corset and chemise, which are not included but are available in our store.
Fabric: natural cotton velvet. The skirt consists of 8 or 10 gores according to your measurements. It takes 13-16 yards of fabric to produce this renaissance clothing with the skirt hem more then 11 yards. The pattern of the trim with pomegranates has been worked out exclusively for this line of dresses by our designer. There is an embroidery with artificial pearls and silvery braids at the sleeves and at the bodice which are also lined with the viscose. Three velvet laces attach sleeves to the dress while buttons on the wrists fit sleeves. With the openings on the bodice you can see the chemise poking through. There is a lacing on the front of the dress.
This dress requires rather precise fit so please be careful while taking your measurements. Dress can be worn with or without corset though corset will definitely increase authenticity and emphasis of the outline.
